1. Installation
The installation of the LCD module is carried out by assembling the mounting holes on the PCB onto the equipment and instruments used, as the internal display screen of the module is composed of two thin pieces of glass, which are easily damaged. Therefore, special care should be taken when installing the application.
2. Module cleaning treatment
When cleaning the module, gently wipe it with a soft cloth dipped in a small amount of solvent (recommended as follows).
-Isopropanol
-Ethanol
Avoid wiping the display surface with dry or hard objects to avoid damaging the polarizer.
Do not use the following solvents:
-Water
-Ketones
-Aromatic compounds
3. Prevention of static electricity
The driving IC used on the LCD module is a C-MOS large-scale integrated circuit. Therefore, do not connect any unused input terminals to VDD or Vss, do not input any signals to the module before the power is turned on, and ground the operator's body, workbench, and assembly platform. The installation equipment should be protected from static electricity.
4. Packaging
The LCD module should avoid severe vibration or falling from a height.
To prevent module aging, avoid working or storing in direct sunlight or high temperature and humidity environments.
5. Operation (precautions)
The LCD module must be driven within the specified voltage range, and exceeding the specified driving voltage will shorten the lifespan of the LCD module.
DC current will cause LCD degradation, so avoid using DC drive.
When the temperature is below the operating temperature range, the response time of the LCD will significantly increase, and when it is above the operating temperature range, the LCD color will darken.
The above phenomenon will return to normal when working within the operating temperature range, and is not a product quality issue.
If the display area is forcefully compressed during operation, some characters may display errors, but after closing it once, it will return to normal.
The condensation on the electrode terminals can cause an open circuit due to electrochemical reactions.
At the highest operating temperature, the humidity should be less than 50% RH.
6. Storage
If stored for a long time (such as one year), the following methods are recommended:
-Seal the module in a polyethylene plastic bag to prevent moisture.
-Place in a dark place with a temperature within the specified storage temperature range.
-Avoid any objects from touching the surface of the polarizer during storage. (It is recommended to store in the inner packaging bag during delivery)
7. Safety
It is recommended to break the damaged or useless LCD module into pieces and clean the LCD with ethanol and propanol, and then burn it off.
If the leaked liquid crystal inside the damaged LCD screen is accidentally adhered to your hand, please clean it with soap and water.
2. Precautions for use
When both parties agree to provide a certain number of samples for evaluation, a certain number of samples shall be provided according to the method agreed upon by both parties. After the sample is confirmed, the confirmed sample will be used for batch evaluation.
The following situations shall be resolved through consultation between both parties
-When there are issues with this specification;
-When new problems not specified in this specification occur;
-When customers encounter problems due to changes in inspection specifications and usage conditions;
-When there is a new issue with the size of the module sample during the customer's installation and evaluation, and therefore a dispute arises.
